By opening a restaurant in Val Thorens at an altitude of 2,300 metres, Jean Sulpice, one of the youngest chefs to be awarded stars by the Michelin Guide (2 stars at the age of 31), has not chosen the easy option. But his gamble has paid off and L'Oxalys is always packed with diners. The restaurant serves up inventive, colourful and original cuisine that features mountain plants prominently.
